“This is a great place to take your out of town friends - it's off the beaten tourist path, has great wines, a fun atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff.  A large space with a 1940's decor motif, and on busy nights there will be a food truck nearby.  There are also some other spots (brewery and distillery) nearby within walking distance.  Their wines are well crafted and it's fun to try something local to the East Bay.” - Jerry P. (Oakland, CA)

“We had a private event at Building 43 to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was great!  Meredith was so helpful and kind.  She worked with us and our caterer to ensure a fun time for all.  The wines were great and the space was perfect for our party.  Everyone had a great time and commented on how much they liked the wines.  Smooth, complex, and lots of character.  My favorite is the Bomber Red #3.  Husband loves their merlot.” - Baby J. (San Leandro, CA)

“My wife and I have been several times and really enjoyed ourselves. We had a chance to talk to one of the co-owners, Meredith Coghlan, while we were there and she treated us very well. It's always fun to hear the founding stories for wineries. I hope we have a chance to meet Tod the winemaker at some point.” - Marvin H. (Alameda, CA)

“If you prefer a more personalized, boutique feel in a tasting room with well made thoughtful wines then this is your place in Alameda!” - Malaika R. (San Leandro, CA)

“Building 43 Winery was my first Spirits Alley experience, and a memorable one. My friends and I came here on a Friday night since Building 43 was one of the only businesses open later than 8pm. I was pleasantly surprised by the laid-back atmosphere, compete with super comfy seats and cozy blankets. While ordering our bottle of Petite Syrah, we were greeted by the very hospitable owner who personally introduced himself to each of us and happily answered any of our questions.” - Cali G. (Concord, CA)
